Ever wondered how to safely store foods for vast amounts of time?

Freeze dried foods can have a shelf life up to 25 years based on the type of food and the packaging. I purchased my freeze dryer with the intent to freeze dry meats, fruits and vegetables grown on the farm. I stumbled across freeze dried candies by accident while attending a craft fair. After talking with the owner of the booth about all things freeze dried, I decided to stop by a grocery store on the way home to buy some candy and try it out.
